Doyle and Darnayle @ John Legend Concert

February 9th, 2009 by Doyle

This post is a little old, as the concert was a few days ago, but we have had a busy traveling schedule. The concert was phenominal. Front row seats. Directly in the center. Chosen to dance with the lovely Estelle on stage. Of course John went through songs from all three studio recording albums, stating that most have been with him since Get Lifted, I have a corrections, been a fan since Live at the Knitting Factory and House of Blues.

John Legend 2 Visit ATL

November 25th, 2008 by Doyle

Anyone who knows me, knows that I am a huge John Legend fan. When the R&B genre seems to have gone all too pop. And true artistic ability has been thrown to the dogs and voice synthesizers are the instrument of choice, John Legend will place himself behind a grand piano and deliver line after line of pure vocal talent. Providing a good balance between a nostalgic raspy voice and crystal clear tempo, Legend provides range in his music ability. So, you know where I will be come February 3, 2009.

I will scour the web when I get some time to post some fashionable pictures of Legend. Afterall, this is a fashion blog. In the mean time visit Official John Legend Homepage.

Reviving a Motto

October 15th, 2008 by Doyle

In 2007 I declared my new years resolution by adopting a motto:

“The beginning of the year sparks a time when people make resolutions, forgive and forget, and promise to do things the right way. Well, all that is fine and dandy, but i do that every year, so this year I decided to take a motto for my urban streetwear, “One 2 Rock, One 2 Stock.” For 2007, I will attempt to by my sneaks in doubles, so be on the lookout for the latest additions to my collection.”

Legendary Streetwear Moment

October 15th, 2008 by Doyle

It’s not very often that I am bold enough to say that I have arrived. I am very humble and always striving to better what I do. But, with this moment in particular, I say that I arrived at my status as a force to be reckoned with when it comes to streetwear. This is my Legendary Moment:

Streetwear Going Casual?

October 15th, 2008 by Doyle

With the launch of Andre Benjamin’s line of clothing, Benjamin Bixby, it seems that everyone, even Andre, a known mainstream fashion eccentric is going casual. What does that mean for streetwear lovers? It means we have to develop a keener eye as to what is streetwear. We can no longer rely solely on a brand name. Take for instance, at a point in time, it went without saying that one could rely on Bathing Ape, Billionaires Boys Club, or even Kid Robot to pump out limited-out-of-the-box streetwear designs every season. Well, wasn’t I just surprised when I looked at some of the latest pieces from their fall/winter lines. As, I am sure you will be too.
